On the heels of their latest Energy Transition Outlook forecast, DNV needed a way to share their findings with their Southeast Asian audience and stakeholders. The best way for them to achieve this during a global pandemic was through a virtual-hybrid conference that allowed for remote participation.
Partnering with digital experts Bray Leino Splash as a combined MISSION Group effort, ALIVE was enlisted to provide expertise in event management, talent sourcing, speaker management and video production. We were responsible for creating a seamless experience for the audience at home, managing everything from the registration process to the live day where we encouraged virtual networking via the Hopin platform. We also hosted an exclusive audience of 30+ guests face-to-face at Singapore’s Suntec Convention Centre’s Hybrid Experience Studio – Asia’s first Plug & Play experience centre – where we recorded and broadcast the conference in real time.
A total of 10 VIP speakers joined us in person for 2 live panel discussions, whilst senior partners from DNV’s HQ in Norway dialed in to optimise the jam-packed 90-minute programme. Correct safe distancing was guaranteed by the use of our Pathfindr technology – an innovative digital Safe Distancing Assistant which ensured all attendees and staff remained a metre apart at all times.
Throughout the event, there were comprehensive presentations on energy developments in Singapore, important findings on energy transition within the Southeast Asian region as well as spirited debates on the challenges and drivers for clean technology. With more than 1200 registrants recorded, this event was a highly effective way for DNV to share their key learnings and galvanise the industry to rethink their energy transition position.
